NGCC (North Georgia Christian Camp) NCGG is past the busy season of summer camps. They are always taking donations of various camp supplies like cleaning supplies, arts and crafts supplies, first-aid supplies and various games. They also depend on financial support from churches and individuals for scholarships, equipment and property upkeep. They covet our prayers each summer for safety for campers and all the staff and volunteers. Pray also for all to be drawn to a deeper knowledge of the Lord. and thanksgiving for all the lives changed through camp. For more details on donations, contact Eastridge’s NCGG liaison, Amy Briggs at amybriggs.ga@gmail.com |

Newton Pregnancy Resource Center NPRC is a gospel-centered, pro-life ministry located right here in Newton County. The pregnancy center is committed to sharing the gospel and providing pro-life options counseling to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. There are many ways to help. Donate material items, such as diapers, new baby clothes, new car seats, new or like-new pack-n-plays, new or like-new strollers. NPRC will be having their Gala on October 1 to raise funds for the Center. All are welcome to atten. To find out more about the event and register for your complimentary tickets (by Thursday, September 24), use the following link below: https://www.newtonprc.org/https/donatenewtonprcorg/event/anniversary-banquet-2026/e831857 An idea for giving to this mission this fall is for each Growth Group to purchase one of the following: pack-n-play, stroller, or car seat. If each Growth Group purchased just one of these items, it would help tremendously and not cost much at all to the groups. Another idea is putting together gift baskets for the Moms at Christmas time. Contact Paige Taylor, paige.taylor718@gmail.com or 571.215.1197, who is Eastridge’s liaison, for more details. |

There are also ways to host a baby shower for the Refuge Center clients. Please visit their website or talk to a Missions Team Member for more details. |
Bread Coffee House Bread holds various outreach events to college students at Oxford College. Their needs are as as follows: 1. Bread provides free meals several times a month for students as an outreach. Providing a meal is a great service opportunity for small groups. 2. They are in need of about 8 dozen cookies again for the start of the semester for outreach purposes. They will be handing them outside at Tuesday morning coffee events and any meal events they will have in the first few weeks. 3. Supplies for the Coffee House can be donated via Bread Oxford's Amazon Wishlist. On September 20th, 2016, Bread Oxford had our first meal event at the former Common Ground To start this academic year off, Bread is having a Prayer Launch on Tuesday August 25th from 3pm-4:30pm* at Bread Oxford (303 Emory St) to gather and pray together for what God will do this upcoming year, and for Him to bless, guide, and protect their ministry in their 10th year (and hopefully the next decade)!
If you are interested in serving this ministry, contact Eastridge’s liaison, Nicole Smith at nicole.chupp@gmail.com |
Newton Christian Learning Center (CLC) 1. Drivers are needed for a large passenger van. The driver would need to pick up students from school and drop off at the 1st Baptist Annex. The biggest need is on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 2:40-3:40. There is also a need for drivers Monday -Friday from 1:45-2:30. Even just taking one day a week would help. CDL is not required and a training session will be arranged. 2. Classroom Assistants are needed to help the teacher set up, clean up, make copies, put Band-Aids on if needed, or any other thing that would help the teacher be able to keep teaching! If you are creative, there's an opportunity to do bulletin boards. 3. Help prepare for their Annual Auction. This may involve helping get donations, picking items up, and helping organize for the actual event, to be held on Nov. 6. This is a fun event with both a live and silent auction. Authentic Mexican food is provided by another local church, as part of the night of fundraising. 4. There is an immediate need for donations of 3 ring binder zipper pouches. They are asking for the heavy duty, good quality ones, not the clear ones that tear easily. Other donations, such as copy paper, ink for the copier (HP 952), markers, or other classroom supplies, are always needed and appreciated! 5. Last, but definitely not least, is the need for Breakfast Buddies, and Snack Sponsors. You can choose to do it as often as you are comfortable with... once a week, once a month, once a quarter or even once a school year. The Breakfast Buddy needs to be there at 7:20 and provide 15 students with breakfast. This can be as simple as donuts or biscuits, or could be a home cooked meal, your choice. You can drop it off, or you can stay and eat with the kids. You can do a devotional or read scripture, or you can just talk with the kids. Breakfast Buddy Instructions The Snack Sponsor takes a week in the fall and a week in the spring and provides bottled water and a snack consisting of one healthy item and one junk item, for 15 students. So maybe fruit (cut in 1/2 or 1/4's, keeping in mind many of the students wear braces) and chips or cookies. These items can be dropped off at 1st Baptist Annex, prior to the afternoon session. If you can't commit to a week, any donations of water bottles or paper products at any time are greatly appreciated! Snack Sponsor Instructions
There will be a training session in August and background checks are required for some of the positions. For more information, contact Jean Roten at oneuponem@gmail.com. |
