They covet our prayers each summer for safety for campers and all the staff and volunteers. Pray also for all to be drawn to a deeper knowledge of the Lord. and thanksgiving for all the lives changed through camp.  Bread Coffee House

Bread holds various outreach events to college students at Oxford College. Their needs are as as follows:

1. Bread provides free meals for approximately 100-150 students as an outreach. Providing a meal is a great service opportunity for Growth Groups. The next meal needed is on the evening of October 27. They will also serve soup on Tuesdays at the coffee house on 9/29, 10/6, 11/3, and 12/1.

2. They are in need of about 8 dozen cookies almost weekly for outreach purposes. They will be handing them outside at Tuesday morning coffee events and any meal events they will have in the first few weeks.

3. Supplies for the Coffee House can be donated via Bread Oxford's Amazon Wishlist. (Growth Group)

If you are interested in serving this ministry, contact Eastridge’s liaison, Nicole Smith at nicole.chupp@gmail.com

 Newton Christian Learning Center (CLC)

1.  Drivers are needed for a large passenger van. The driver would need to pick up students from school and drop off at the 1st Baptist Annex. The biggest need is on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 2:40-3:40.  There is also a need for drivers Monday -Friday from 1:45-2:30. Even just taking one day a week would help.  CDL is not required and a training session will be arranged.

2.  Classroom Assistants are needed to help the teacher set up, clean up, make copies, put Band-Aids on if needed, or any other thing that would help the teacher be able to keep teaching! If you are creative, there's an opportunity to do bulletin boards.

3.  Help prepare for their Annual Auction.  This may involve helping get donations, picking items up, and helping organize for the actual event, to be held on Nov. 6.  This is a fun event with both a live and silent auction.  Authentic Mexican food is provided by another local church, as part of the night of fundraising.

4. Last, but definitely not least, is the need for Breakfast Buddies, and Snack Sponsors.  You can choose to do either as often as you are comfortable with... once a week, once a month, once a quarter or even once a school year.  Breakfast Buddy Instructions   Snack Sponsor Instructions Background checks are required for some of the positions. For more information, contact Jean Roten at oneuponem@gmail.com.

The CLC is asking the Board of Education to adopt a policy that will allow off-campus Bible classes during the school day. They are collecting digital signatures for the petition. Click here to sign the petition.
